Throb Rod is one of the 50 original cars from Carmageddon: TDR 2000. It first appears in Race 2 of the the Docks, being part of the third batch of vehicles the player encounters in the game.

Design

It is a T-bucketed Ford Model T. A 'T-Bucket' is a Model T which has been rebuilt into a hotrod performance spec. The vehicle has flame decals on the sides of its cabin, and the "Throb Rod" name engraved on the sides of its "arms", grill, and rear.

Performance

Throb Rod's biggest strength is its handling, making it a nice car to just drive around. Its top speed when fully upgraded however, only reaches 240mph. The hot rod is also too lightweight to waste cars, and can be destroyed really easily.

Driver

The driver, named "Phillipe A. Shio" in the files, is a man wearing Windsor glasses, a black sweater, and jeans. He also has a goatee.
