The Mecha is one of the 50 original cars from Carmageddon: TDR 2000. It first appears in Hollowood, being one of the first vehicles the player encounters in the game.

Design

This vehicle is based on a Ford Ka. It also comes with a pumping bumper blade, and wheel spikes. The distinctive anime picture painted on its sides is known as "Bonsai", a Japanese girl with large eyes and chest, and purple short hair.

Performance

The Mecha is one of the easiest cars to waste, and its top speed is incredibly low, reaching a total of 174mph. It is a very cheap vehicle to buy, however..

Driver

The driver, named "Bonsai Lun" in the files, has the same face as the Bonsai girl depicted on the car's sides. Her body, however, is more on par with other women drivers of the game.

• A mecha is a giant humanoid robot of the type popular in anime.
• Bonsai is the art of growing very small trees (Bonsai Trees). Lun is a Chinese surname.
• The unused description translates from Japanese as "Thank you very much! I am... DANGEROUS".
  • And 'Domo origato' should be 'Domo arigato'.
• The Mecha's file name is "Ka".
• The Mecha uses the same cybernetic tire texture as TNT and Wraith.
