Tashita Coupe is one of the 30 original vehicles from Carmageddon and Splat Pack, driven by Ed 101. It appears among the first batch of opponents and becomes stealworthy at rank 89.

Design

Tashita is based primarily upon the racing spec Toyota Supra. It also contains elements of the Mazda RX-7 and Peugeot 205 Turbo 16. Both Toyota and Mazda are Japanese companies, which would explain the Japanese flag image on the bonnet.

Trivia

• The Official Carmageddon web site showed a very different vehicle for Ed 101 to drive in Carmageddon, which didn't make it into the final release: A Wipeout-style hover car, who's textures are hidden in the final release, inside Devil's Canyon Mining Town's files. The reason for it given by Terry Lane, the original concept artist, is that the developers couldn't get it to sit well on the road while playtesting, so Tashita was created for Ed instead.
