Description
"He seems a friendly kind of guy, but appearances can deceive, and the way he guns that 4x4 along you’d think he was on the run!"

Fraud Broko is one of the 30 original vehicles from Carmageddon, driven by OK Stimpson. It first appears among the first batch of opponents and is not stealworthy.

Design

The car is heavily modified first generation Ford Bronco with a hood scoop and massive, spiked bull bar. Early screenshots with high resolution textures shows that it's race number is supposed to have outline, in final version this is almost unnoticeable.

Performance

This car's handling is deliberately terrible: It's as if the Jelly suspension "powerup" was built-in.

Driver

OK Stimpson is a smiling man with bloody clothes.

Trivia

  • Fraud Broko is replaced by Monster Masher in the Splat Pack expansion.
  • OK is an obvious parody of O. J. Simpson, who is nowadays more famous for his highly publicized murder trial than for his days as an American Football player. The Fraud Broko is based on his Ford Bronco SUV, which was used in a nationally televised low-speed highway pursuit when Simpson refused to turn himself in. During his sports career, Simpson was known as "The Juice."
  • In the US version of Carmageddon, as well as the Android and iOS version, Fraud Broko's driver is named "Juicy Jones", and the blood on his shirt is re-coloured to resemble orange juice (or as some would call it, O.J.). His bio also changes: "This man loves oranges, but because of his OTT suspension he tends to spill his orange juice everywhere." The portrait seen on the view racers screen also has some noticeable differences compared to most other portraits, using a different font for the racer's name, as well as lacking the full "slide up" and "slide down" animations. The latter makes Juicy's portrait seem to appear more abruptly than other racers. No official statement has been made as to the reasons behind the name, portrait, and bio change, though the nature of the changes seem to indicate issues with the obvious likeness to O. J. Simpson.
  • Some original (non-GOG) US editions of the Carmageddon Max Pack use both the "OK Stimpson" and "Juicy Jones" names, with the former being used for Carmageddon and the latter used by the Splat Pack.
  • The name of this car's FLI file is CHEVYCHA. This would suggest Chevy Chase, which in turn would point to his aforementioned pursuit, where he drove a Chevrolet and not a Ford.
  • Fraud Broko is one of 9 cars with the "8" race number. The others are: Ramraider, LadyBug2, Purple Piledriver, Ray Zee Fool's vehicle, Caddy Fat Cat in Carmageddon 64, Vlad 3 also in C64, The Mecha, and Buggy.

Driver Max Damage
Race number no number

Fraud Broko appears in the Tozzer Carmageddon comic despite not appearing in TDR 2000, being driven by Max Damage.

Design

The comic design is almost like the one from the original Carmageddon, but is white, lacks the race number and has two nos-bottles poking through a bonnet instead of the hood scoop that the original had.

Max Damage drove the Fraud Broko before having his skin burned in Issue 2. He crashed into Jack Clawhammer's Suppressor, killing him, and overhears that a nuke will reach his location in 2 minutes. He once again uses the Fraud Broko, but now to escape the nuke. His skin gets burned and the car gets wrecked.

Trivia

  • Viper from main game has somewhat similar placement of nos bottle poking through bonnet. However it only has one bottle.

Description
"This man loves oranges, but because of his OTT suspension he tends to spill his orange juice everywhere!"

In the Funsize version of Carmageddon, the Fraud Broko now becomes stealworthy at rank 20. Also, it now appears among the second tier of opponents instead of the first.

Design

This design is a smoother version of the one from the original game. It's race number has lost it's outline in conversion.

Performance

In this version, the vehicle doesn't have Jelly Suspension built in anymore.

Trivia

  • Fraud Broko is one of the opponent vehicles in the demo.
  • Even though it no longer handles like it has Jelly Suspension built in, the description still mentions it.
