Leadpumper is one of the 30 original vehicles from Carmageddon, driven by Agent Orange. It first appears among the second batch of opponents and is not stealworthy.

Design

The Leadpumper is based on a 1977 Lincoln Continental. It is colored black and has the race number 12. It has an open grille with the radiator fan exposed.

Drivers

Despite being an ex-FBI agent, he still dresses like one. Having a buzz cut, wearing sunglasses and a suit.

Trivia

• Leadpumper was replaced by the Sled in the Splat Pack expansion.
• Leadpumper is one of 10 vehicles featured in the intro cutscene for the original Carmageddon. The others are: The Twister, Volkswerker, Towmeister, Stiffshifter, Cleaver, Razorbill, Fraud Broko, Hevy Impaler, and Red Eagle.
• Agent Orange is attacked and killed by zombies in the censored intro.
• Agent Orange was originally known as "Agent Black" as seen in an early pencil sketch.

General Trivia

• Leadpumper was most likely an actual lead pumper, considering it would have been built to run on leaded petrol.
• To 'pump someone full of lead' is to kill them by shooting them repeatedly, 'pumping' lead bullets into their bodies.
• Leadpumper is one of four cars with the 12 race number. The others are: The Twister, Khaki and Crutch's car, and Viper.
• Leadpumper was considered for the DLC of Carmageddon: Reincarnation, but was never made. CWR created a model for it, but was rejected.
• Agent Orange was the codename for a powerful vegetation killer used by the U.S. military during the Vietnam War. It was named after the orange-striped barrels it was shipped in, and was later linked to causing health problems for people who had been exposed to it.
• The character also has a resemblance to Robert Patrick, who played the T-1000 in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and later an FBI agent in the X-Files.
• Agent Orange used to date Sinthea. According to her bio, he was killed after/during the first game, making him one of only two mentioned fatalities of the whole franchise. The other being the second grimm brother in Carmageddon: Reincarnation.
• In the German version, Agent Orange is a mad ex-BND agent. The BND (short for Bundesnachrichtendienst) is the German intelligence service.
