"When I yell 4, better get off the road!" |
Killa Kart is one of the 50 original cars from Carmageddon: TDR 2000. It first appears as a cop in Hollowood, and later as a normal opponent in the Slums, being part of the second batch of vehicles the player encounters in the game.
Design
It is a white golf cart with blood splatters on its sides and surrounded by a cage. The vehicle sports two bags on the back with a few bloodied golf clubs as well.
Performance
Killa Kart is quite fast, but has very touchy handling, spinning out just by slightly turning right or left. It is also not a good choice for wasting opponents. While it may look sturdy at first due to the vehicle's lack of detachable parts, it can be wasted really quickly.
Driver
The driver, named "Iron Tiger" in the files, is a golfer wearing a blue and green checker-pattered jacket, with a yellow undershirt and brown pants. He also has a beret.
Trivia
- Killa Kart's file name is "GolfCart".
- This vehicle only has one texture, not having a damaged variant nor an additional "generic" texture, which often includes car internals and/or the driver.
- Iron Tiger is named after Tiger Woods, a (in)famous golfer.
- An Iron is one type of Golf club; others include Wood and Putter.
- In his unused quote, "4" should be "Fore", a regular call by golfers for passers-by to mind their heads.
- Shots from PC Gameplay and polish Play magazines show a completely different design for the Killa Kart. It was a more traditional-looking golf cart, but with added metal plates around it, slightly resembling a knight's helmet. These metal parts could be knocked off, revealing the cart inside.
- Killa Kart was once named "Golf Buggy", as revealed by a car list sent by SCi[1].
- Inside the files for Killa Kart there is an info .txt file for an earlier iteration of the vehicle:
- NAME "GolfCart"
- DESCRIPTION "Top Speed: 200mph
- Kerb weight: 1.5 tons
- 0-60mph: 3.4 seconds
- GolfCart is the intercourse Champion!"
- DESCRIPTOR "GolfCartdescriptor.txt"
- DRIVER_NAME "Min Damage"
- DRIVER_SHORT_NAME "Big Tee"
- STRENGTH 5
- COST 50 // in thousands!
- TYPE 0 // 0 = eagle, 1 = normal, 2 = novelty
- //ARMOUR_MAP "eagle_armoured"
