"Light the fuse & Booooom!" |
TNT is one of the 50 original cars from Carmageddon: TDR 2000. It first appears in the Slums, being part of the second batch of vehicles the player encounters in the game from Race 3 onwards.
Design
It is a red pickup truck appearing to be a 1989 Toyota Hilux, with designs of TNT explosives throughout its body.
Performance
TNT is an all-rounder car that is decent at wrecking opponents at 1.7, and with a decent acceleration. It is similar to The Beast in terms of performance, which is a vehicle that first appears in the earlier zone. The Beast has better acceleration and higher top speed compared to TNT, however, making buying this rather expensive truck not ideal[1].
Driver
The driver, named "Han Grenade" in the files, wears a red suit with a TNT explosive design and the word "boom" on his chest area. He also appears to be wearing a helmet.
Trivia
- TNT's file name is "TNTUte".
- Trinitrotoluene, better known as TNT, is a powerful explosive.
- This is the exact same truck as The Green Hammer but cleaner. Surprisingly, despite having minimum modifications compared to its piledriver wielding twin, it performs better.
- Viper also appears to have been made with TNT as a base.
- Han Grenade = Hand Grenade.
- TNT uses the same cybernetic tire texture as the Mecha and Wraith.
- Inside the files for TNT there is an info .txt file for an earlier iteration of the vehicle:
- NAME "TNT Devil Ute"
- DESCRIPTION "Top Speed: 160mph
- Kerb weight: 1.2 tons
- 0-60mph: 3.4 seconds
- I'll blow you daughters any way you want"
- DESCRIPTOR "TNTUtedescriptor.txt"

- DRIVER_SHORT_NAME "John"
- STRENGTH 5
- COST 50 // in thousands!
