Die Anna returns with the Hawk R as one of the two drivers available to select at the start of the game. This time around she is modeled after a former Stainless Games employee Sim McDermott.[1][2]
Design
The Hawk R once again appears as a bright yellow, mid-engined supercar. The Hawk R's concept artwork
In-Game model vs Concept Art
As with any artwork versus its in-game counterpart, there will always be some differences, and the Hawk R is no exception. The Hawk R is one of the vehicles that only very loosely resembles its concept art, thus there are plenty of differences.
The concept artwork features:
- Different wheels, The wheels featured in the concept art strongly resemble the BBS CH-R series wheel made by BBS
- Lower profile tires, the in-game model has rather high profile tires and smaller wheels which is unusual for a sports car.
- The wheels also appear quite a lot larger
- Many sponsor decals and a 'Hawk' logo. Besides the 'Wild Cat' skin, all other skins lack any kind of sponsor decals or logos.
- The car also appears to have a longer wheelbase but this could be due to perspective errors
- Differently shaped front intakes and hood scoop
- Different front lights
- The greenhouse appears much further forward on the artwork, and also lacks an A pillar
- Different blade design
- The artwork lacks any side mirrors
- The lines on the bodywork, particularly over the front and rear wheel arch appear taller, with the rear being almost as tall as the greenhouse.
- The artwork also lacks any visible door lines

Trivia
- The characters name is a pun on Princess Diana, who was coincidentally killed in a car crash. shortly after the release of Carmageddon.
- As with the Red Eagle, the Yellow Hawk's design harkens to the vehicles of Death Race 2000.
- The Hawk 3 is a Group C endurance racer, with particular similarities to the Nissan R89C and the Jaguar XJR series.
- The Hawk 3's model was originally an old model of the Eagle. It was mostly the same aside from the red color and the open headlights.
- Die Anna, even though a regular character, does not appear in Carmageddon: TDR 2000.
- The 'Wild Cat' skin featured on the Hawk R appears to be a sponsor skin, predominantly featuring Clang and FRKR decals.
- Nobby confirmed that Faye Morey, the actress for Die Anna from the original Carmageddon was asked to reprise her role however due to her job as a primary school teacher she declined in fear that her superiors wouldn't condone her appearance in the game.
- In the mobile game Indestructible, there is a small muscle car named "Mantis". One of the paint jobs available for it is a racing livery bearing a resemblance to the Hawk 3's livery; it also decorates it with a large blade like the Hawk's first incarnation.
