Chrome God was a car created by CWR and made into a Carmageddon mod by Stainless. For a long time community did see it as official add-on, but as it was never part of any official release, it is now regarded as being officially-sanctioned mod. Newer versions with fixes were later released by members of the community.
Design
The car is based of the 1957 Chevrolet. It has a grining grille, a blue roof with white stars, and the race number 8.

Trivia
- Stainless released the Chrome God for Carmageddon as payment for CWR's work on Carmageddon II.[1]
- Chrome God was originally released on November, 1998.[2] [3]
- Port was handled by someone from Stainless or SCI and uploaded into carmageddon.com. Notice that carmageddon.com was fansite at the time. It is not know that Chrome God would have ever appeared in any official site.
- For some reason person who ported Chrome God did not generate crush data. For that reason the car is not able to deform.
- The original release of Chrome God replaced the Red Eagle.
- It used Caddy Fat Cat's internal car view.
- The Chrome God V2 release by Toshiba fixes the missing rear window, the cockpit related crashes, fixed the bounding box being too low; and adds a new cockpit, a proper window material, menu images w/ driver, as well as no longer replacing the Eagle, with it being its own separate vehicle instead.
