Gameplay

It was touted that its physics engine and car handling were improved on from the original. There was also going to be a multiplayer "link mode", allowing two players to battle each other or play the game co-operatively.

History

A trailer on the Nosebleed Pack disc stated that the game was set to be released 23rd February 2001. At some unknown point, the game was cancelled - while there are previews and a listing on the developer's site, there have been no reviews, mentions of its release, or copies for sale.

The game was at 2000's E3 expo in playable demo form, but that version is now lost. However, a prototype containing the full game was leaked in 2020, together with the Nintendo GigaLeak[1]. The game is playable from beginning to end with minor glitches.

Cars

The game was going to feature 20 vehicles, rated by Speed, Acceleration, Braking, Strength and Cost. Some of them were taken straight from Carmageddon: TDR 2000, others had slightly different designs but still resembled other cars, and a few of them looked similar to scrapped vehicles from the main game. All of the cars seemed to use placeholder names and not the final ones used in the PC version (for example, Electric Blue was named "FUTURE").

Levels

The game was going to feature eight locations with two races and two mission levels each, as well as one bonus location (The Bridge), making 33 levels. All of the environments are based on the ones from the original game, but they aren't in the same order.
