Bumble Bee is one of the 50 original cars from Carmageddon: TDR 2000. It first appears in Hollowood, being one of the first vehicles the player encounters in the game.

Design

The car is based on the 1951 Buick Le Sabre Concept. It sports a light blue paintjob, and its front bumper has four small spikes protruding from it.

Performance

Bumble Bee has decent acceleration, and can be used to destroys cars in the early stages of the game. It shouldn't be relied on too heavily, however, as its power is not good enough for racing or certain driven missions. It reaches a top speed of 254mph when fully upgraded.

Driver

The driver, named "Ma Donna" in the files, is mostly modeled (except for her legs) due to always being visible. She has short, blonde hair, and wears a yellow dress.

Trivia

• Bumble Bee's file name is "BumblyBee".
• In the "Work in Progress" image from October 1999 seen in the gallery below, Bumble Bee only had two spikes near the center of its front bumper instead of four. In an early in-game image from March 2000, also in the gallery below, the car is seen with four spikes instead like in the final game. However, they were much longer.
• There's only really one Madonna.
• Inside the files for Bumble Bee there is an info .txt file for an earlier iteration of the vehicle:

Bumble Bee appears in the Tozzer Carmageddon comic, under the name "Bumbly Bee", being driven by two somewhat determined Christians called Billy & Betsy.

Design

This version of the vehicle has longer spikes compared to its original game counterpart.

Drivers

After seeing a report about zombies being created by prolonged exposure to video games, the couple run down a punk in an arcade. They later reappear in a race against the Fortress and Dragula, but unfortunately plough into a wall with the other competitors. Max Damage, who couldn't start his car, is spared this fate.
